Dyslexia Tutoring Disrupted? We can help!

With schools and learning centers closed for the foreseeable future, The Wright Psychology & Learning Center is now offering Barton tutoring, online.

Why the Learning Center @ Wright Psychology?

Doctoral-Level Licensed Psychology Practice: Our learning center is owned and operated by a doctoral-psychologist. our dedicated, multi-disciplinary staff works together to provide a personalized, well-rounded treatment approach to each of our clients and their families.
Credentialed, Professional Tutors: Our highly-trained, professional tutors offer individualized, one-on-one tutoring for children and adolescents.
Research-based, Gold-Standard Educational Interventions: We use the ⦁ Barton⦁ ⦁ Reading ⦁ &⦁ Spelling System.  This is an Orton-Gillingham based method, and is the only tutoring method endorsed by the International Dyslexia Association.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Parents schedule tutoring sessions by emailing or calling ⦁ wrightpsychology@gmail.com or ⦁ (502) 807-9551.
  2. Parents receive a link to join the online session at the appointed time.
  3. The student and their tutor work together via video conferencing. The student is able to work “face-to-face” with the tutor, while sharing a screen of the Barton tools they would use during a typical session.

Thinking about online tutoring for your child?

Consider this:
⦁ Nearly all of our existing Barton students have successfully transitioned to online tutoring.
⦁ There’s no need to purchase any software or hardware for your home. All you need is an internet connection.
⦁ This (YouTube) generation of students may even prefer online vs. in-person sessions.
⦁ Continuing tutoring virtually will ensure your child won’t fall behind in the program or have to repeat sessions to “catch up” when returning to school.

Dr. Wright is great. If you think your child has a learning disability, this is the place to go!
