Role at Wright Psychology and Counseling:

I am a Licensed Psychological Associate with expertise in assessing and diagnosing neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, Dyslexia and related learning disorders, and intellectual disabilities. I am particularly passionate about diagnosing Dyslexia and other learning disorders. As a member of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) and the Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA), I am committed to ongoing professional development to stay informed of the latest research and best practices in the field. I am strongly dedicated to helping individuals with Dyslexia and their families understand their unique learning profile, providing tailored support and interventions that foster self-confidence, self-esteem, and academic potential.
In addition to my role as an evaluator, I also provide evidenced-based mental health services to children, adolescents and college-aged young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, executive functioning, and social-emotional issues. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which I have used to help children and adolescents who are experiencing symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and depression related to traumatic experiences.

Favorite part of the job:

I am grateful for the opportunity to connect with and help children and teens overcome challenges in a small, safe, and supportive environment. I love being a part of others’ journeys and “walking with them” on their path to learning, growing, and happiness.

Past experience:

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology and earned my Master of Education with a focus in Counseling Psychology both from the University of Louisville. I have clinical experience working in community mental health, school systems, private practice, and correctional settings, where I received extensive training in evaluative services and psychotherapy for both children, teens, and adults.
Along with my professional experience, I am also a member of the Kentucky Psychological Association and part of the Early Career Psychologist committee.
