Role at Wright Psychology & Learning Center:

Dyslexia Therapy Instructor

Favorite part of the job:

My favorite part of my job is helping students make sense of reading and spelling and watching their confidence soar as a result.

Past experience:

I began teaching in both public and private schools in the early 90’s. My students ranged from ages 5 to 18. I’ve also worked as a tutor for students with dyslexia for several years.

Why I do what I do:

I believe that with the proper instruction and program, all students can learn to read and spell – and they all deserve the opportunity.

Favorite quote or mantra related to this line of work:

Don’t prepare the path for the child. Prepare the child for the path.

Family & free time:

I’m married to my college sweetheart and we have two grown and married children. I’m also a new grandparent and she spend as much time as I can with my grandchild. In addition to spending time with family, I enjoy being outside swimming, walking, reading, and traveling.
